Post How to install Joomla!

Hello,

Here is a short tutorial how to install the latest Joomla! on your website, to do so, go to joomla.org and download the latest package then follow these steps:

1. Upload the downloaded zip file to the new site root (this could be your public_html or the location of the folder for the new domain/subdomain you added).
2. Go to File Manager (if not there already) and select the file and press Extract on the upped right of the page.
3. Go to MySQL database wizard in your cPanel and create a new database and username with full permissions to it.
4. Open your domain/subdomain and the installation process will start.
5. Follow the steps of the installation process, it's easy as 1,2,3.

Thanks.

If you have a cPanel VPS you could use Fantasico to auto install it. However, its an additional $5/mo but very worth it.

Don't forget, you can always get Fantasico for your cPanel VPS, and have it auto installed.
