Hello I have started to get:
phpMyAdmin - Error #2002 - The server is not responding (or the local MySQL server's socket is not correctly configured) What might be the reason and can I fix it ? |

You may try to reinstall cPanel with:
# /scripts/upcp --force Be sure you have not entered special characters in MySQL root password. |

Yes it was the MySQL root password. I have changed it and phpMyAdmin is working fine again.
